At the bottom of the drum there is a shaft (pulsator) which creates swirling streams of water and jets for washing. A separate element to the activator machine - the nozzle - injects bubbles evenly throughout the drum, which is a considerable merit of the activator.
Washing machines of this type do not have a heating element, as they are connected to the central water supply for cold and hot water. The bubble generator rather vigorously throws bubbles into the drum during the entire washing process, which makes it possible to deal with all kinds of contaminants very effectively.

- Machines of this type may not have the following modes: drain without spinning and regular spinning;
- The cost is slightly higher than that of conventional devices;
- Dimensions are quite larger than, say, conventional machines of the drum and activator types.
