Why I put detergent in the drum of my washing machine

Why do I put detergent in the drum of my washing machine? Why do I put detergent in the drum of the washing machine.

Everyone at least once faced with the process of washing. Nothing complicated: put the laundry in the drum, close it, pour the powder into the compartment at the top of the washing machine, close it and press the program button. Done. That's how I used to do every wash.

But few people have any idea what happens in the washing machine. And what is the powder compartment for?

Why do you need detergent in the drum of a washing machine?

After I began to find deposits on the walls of the tray, which then nothing can not scrub off. A couple of times there was even powder left in the tray. When I realized that this couldn't go on, I started my experiment.

To begin with, I studied the washing process. It's not as complicated as it seems. I have an automatic washing machine. I will tell you about my example.

After starting the program, the load hatch is blocked. Water begins to flow into the drum. As soon as enough water is accumulated, a sensor is triggered and the flow of water stops. Then the flow of water washes the powder from the tray, soapy water flows into the drum. The laundry "swirls" in the soapy water. This is how the washing process happens.

And if you put the powder directly into the drum? Basically, the same thing happens.

Thinking about this, I remembered how I used to do my laundry on a semi-automatic machine when I was a student. There the powder was poured directly into the drum for washing. And everything came out fine. There was no grayish stain on the clothes, of course, if I rinsed them well.

It is best to use a powder without multicolored granules. They stain the laundry, they can leave colored dots and dots.

Modern washing machines rinse very well. It is not by hand for 10 minutes. The rinse cycle lasts long enough. Also, some washing machines (I have one) have an extra rinse. Not sure, rinse again.

If you think about it, there are all kinds of laundry detergents in the stores. There are gels, there are capsules. These are the ones that the manufacturers recommend putting in the drum. It turns out everything is mixed at once: both powder and conditioner.

I have tried both gels and capsules. The laundry gel, it's still nothing. If it weren't for its price and nuclear smell. This is my personal opinion. The capsules at all disappointed me. The cost is high. After they had to be rewashed to reduce the smell of conditioner. It is uncomfortable and the fact that the capsules need to wash a large volume of laundry at once. If you wash 1kg of laundry, the smell of conditioner can not be washed in any way. And you need to rinse twice.

I decided to try. I poured the powder into the drum, put the laundry and chose the shortest wash. I was very nervous, what if something went wrong. In the end, the machine finished the wash safely. The laundry, you would not believe, washed perfectly.

That's the only way I do laundry now. I put a little powder, just a little bit, in the drum. Then I put the laundry in. I pour a little rinse aid into the tray and start the wash.

  • And not a lot of powder. Much less than I poured in the compartment before. About 1 tablespoon per 1 kg of laundry.

Of course, there are nuances, which I realized.

  • I have to put a very small amount of detergent in the dishwasher. Much less than I poured in the compartment before. About 1 tablespoon per 1 kg of laundry.
  • It is best to use a powder without colored granules. They dye the laundry, can leave colored dots

From all this I have made several conclusions:

  • The powder tray is now clean
  • Savings in laundry detergent by many times. Even a small pack of detergent is enough for me for a long time
  • My clothes look much better after washing.

In any case, it is up to you to decide how you do the laundry. I have found the perfect thing for me.
