Tips for moms - the main rules of laundry for the baby
Anyone understands that a newborn does not have such a strong immune system as an adult and too delicate skin. That is why you should consider a few basic rules of laundry for the baby. So, the basic rules:
The first and perhaps most important rule is that you should ALWAYS wash baby clothes (as well as store dirty ones) before the age of three separately from adult clothes. Burp or defecation should, of course, be rinsed off beforehand with water and a brush.
Tips for the wash
It's best if you load dirty baby's laundry in the machine at once. Do not accumulate it if you want to simplify your life: firstly, it will be much easier to tidy up a child's closet, and secondly, fresh stains are much easier to wash.
In especially severe cases, you should pre-soak children's underwear for an hour either in a soapy solution or in a solution of vinegar.
IMPORTANT: After washing, you must rinse the baby's clothes as thoroughly as possible, since the remaining detergent can cause skin irritation and itching!
It is also advisable to dry the children's clothes separately. And they should hang so that the street dust does not get on them.
If the mother breastfeeds her baby - her clothes are also better to wash and dry separately. And here it is also important to choose the right products.
Often young mothers neglect washing new baby clothes, thinking that once things are new, they must be clean. But no! All new baby clothes must be washed for sure! New things have gone through dozens of hands: from the dressmaker to the salesman. Can you be sure of their sterility?

Remember that allergic dermatitis in children is most often a consequence of washing baby clothes with powders containing phosphate or chlorine.
IMPORTANT: Never use detergents containing aggressive phosphates, chlorine or fragrances! Do not use bleach, rinse aid or conditioner to wash baby's clothes. There is a risk of causing allergies in the child. It's better to replace stain removers with more natural remedies: hydrogen peroxide or vinegar solution: safer, better quality and cheaper.
Hand or machine wash?
Cotton baby clothes are quite suitable for machine washing. The main thing is to choose the right mode. Many machines have a mode "Baby Wash", or another similar mode. It is better to put the temperature of 75-90 degrees. Be sure to set the additional rinse program. In principle, it is preferable to wash children's clothes in the machine. There is no sense to torture yourself with hand washing without a special need. And the temperature in the washer is much higher. It is only important to choose the right products.
Recently, laundry soap has become fashionable among young mothers. Apparently at the instigation of the older generation of grandmothers. Of course, it will not cope with heavy dirt. But for regular children's washing it will do: it's natural, hypoallergenic, and softens the washed items well. The best option in this case is to grate soap on a regular grater and place it in the powder compartment.
As for hand washing, in some cases it is really impossible to do without it. The main rule here: thorough rinsing . This is as important as the right choice of laundry detergents. Hand-washed laundry should be rinsed at least 2-3 times. The ideal is to rinse in hot water, then warm and 2-3 times in cold water. You should soak the baby's clothes beforehand. Depending on the pollution from 30 minutes to 2 hours.
Well, do not forget to look at the labels, which indicate the optimal temperature for washing. Knitwear, for example, should not be washed at temperatures above 40 degrees: they will lose their commercial appearance. Wool is even better to wash at 30 degrees.
White items are washed separately, colored items are washed separately. Above the individual spots can be separately worked with a brush and soap.
There is another category of baby clothes that can not be washed at all. For example, warm envelopes or jumpsuits. Only a thorough steaming can help here. Steamer or iron is your help.
